Chilling out in Singapore - Part 1

26th Feb 06 - Sunday

Met Mike & Andy at 1.30pm @ Ikea for lunch. Then proceed to Queensway to shop for shoes.

Haven't been to Queensway for a while and it's now quite nice and trendy. Saw a shoe by Addidas call Daroga. Quite nice design. Mike wanted a 9.5 Black - had to go to almost 5 shops before there was one who had the size and color. The surprise was, Mike was able to get it at the cheapest price of $69. All the other shops before quoted him $74 (after discount and all that nonsense).

Then drove to PS Cafe for tea and found it is open only at 6:30pm!

So we went to Colbar Eating House along Portsdown Road. It was in the news, so thought we'll go there and see what it's all about. It's a nice place to go, sit down have something to drink and eat and see the world go by.

I ordered a Chocolate Milk Shake $3.50, Mike had a Tea with Milk (?) and Andy had a Lime juice (?), the total bill came to $8! I didn't ask to see the bill.

We drove back to PS Cafe, although we weren't appropriately dress, the Manager Kevin Hee was very kind to entertain us. He could have turn us away due to our dress code, which was shorts and slippers. We looked like we just woke up, got up from our bed and went there for something to bite. That's Singaporean dressing for you.

Dinner was EXCELLENT! service was SPLENDID!

When they served tea, they even asked Mike if he wanted COLD or HOT or WARM milk. Absolutely dashing and charming.

The bill came up to $130 over bucks. Mike gave the treat. But it was worth even cent. I promised myself I'll be back again.
